All the contents on this website are personal reflections of a small group of friends with different perspectives about life and its purpose. Most of the initial reflections uploaded were picked from each of their personal diaries. A few of these were compiled from snapshots of the closed group discussions between them on a chat platform. The text content was originally written in English and so the system-translated versions in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi might seem to have incoherence or incompleteness in precisely communicating the intended messages.

 

 

PURPOSE OF MAN'S EXISTENCE

          As an unborn in the womb, the purpose of one’s existence was to enjoy the good thoughts of the mother up until the moment of birth. As a newborn it was the mother’s milk and undisturbed sleep. Then as an infant it was more milk and kisses, while as a toddler it was toys. Further on it was chocolates, then stories, then playtime, then more playtime, then friendship, then entrance exams, then degrees, then job, then gadgets, then wife, then children, then family, then love, then money, then responsibility, then pleasure, then nothing, then work, then wisdom, then Heaven, then relationship, then health, then success, then popularity, then service to poor and needy, then enlightenment, then no idea, then freedom, then peace.

          Should there be necessarily a purpose for man’s life? Of course, there is a clearly charted-out purpose for each of us. Like how a potter knows the exact reason for making a pot, the Creator knows pretty well the purpose for which He decided to give life to you, me, and every single life form in this universe.

          The best use of TIME and INTELLECT to tweak the current equations and formulae carved in my current personality position will determine the ease with which a complex and critical situation in life will be processed to arrive at a beautiful life-changing solution. Our SYSTEM (Mind, Body, Soul) inputs fresh data through our 5 senses and processes it to feed our imagination and intellect for its present and future use. A smart man invests all his might to ensure that the filtering process allows only good, pure, and positive data to enter and rejects all dirt and junk. I prefer to call this activity as ‘input-filtering’. Simultaneously the old garbage which had already gotten into the system before the filtering mechanism was consciously installed, has to be nullified and discharged to make enough space for worthwhile input. This shall be called ‘database-cleaning’.

     The more focused and determined one is, the quicker one allows clarity and light to govern his system. Man thus gets closer to the voice of his Creator and his real purpose of existence becomes more and more evident to him. Every moment in life for such a person will be blissful within and around him. The yearning to become ONE with the ultimate TRUTH will thus be driven by the inner peace and freedom in such a personality. Is that when we can dare to say that the INFINITE is in this ONE?

FACTORS OF INFLUENCE

Creation Awe – To wonder at the greatness, complexity, sublimity, and simplicity of each Creation in this universe, is to interact with the Creator
 
Input Filtering – Each of the 7 faculties (including the 5 senses) is constantly at work at every moment and so the junk that tries to get in needs to be filtered
 
Reference Personality – Life is easier if one can refer to the personality traits of a real-life personality on critical matters involving decision making
 
Spotting Errors – A healthy combination of interactions with the Creator and the chosen reference personality will shed enough light on the errors in our own personality
 
Question Mode – Cultivate and keep alive the habit of clarifying every doubt, only if that question hasn’t taken control over you. Tame it before you dissect it
 
Conquering Fear – Every single error/disorder in man has a unique variant of fear as its root cause. Behind every fear is a wave of anger suppressed
 
Respecting Rhythm – Be it right or wrong, develop the strength to honour your rhythm of mind, soul, and body, provided your conscience is influenced by the TRUTH
 
Play Ground – Every thought, word and action leaves an indelible mark in our life. Score a point at every single moment before the game is over

          Reflections tagged under this category will be in some way or the other concerning one’s inner-self. Man’s dialogue with self, analysing the progress in the development of one’s personality, monitoring the behavioral aspects which needs to be tamed, character formation and its stages, steps involved in changing unpleasant habits on the long run, etc.

          Reflections tagged under this category will be focussed on the dynamics of all types of interpersonal relationships. Interactions with one’s life partner, children, parents, other family members, dynamics of an extended family, friends, at work, neighbours, other social interactions, handling societal issues that directly or indirectly concern one’s daily life, etc.

          Reflections tagged under this category will be an attempt to share each of our sharp views about the ‘personality’ of God whom each of us are experiencing every single day. Here we also try to critically question the various facets of Spirituality, religious practices, the relevance of Religion, the influence of spirituality on self, family and the society at large, inter-religious dialogue, Rationality vs Spirituality, etc.

          Views tagged under this category will be our personal comments and criticisms regarding the current-affairs, politics, ideologies, cultures, language, science, history and other general topics. We believe that an open platform to express one’s perspectives strongly but politely will help mitigate all flaws in the laws of the land and thus built a truly sane society.
